Installation

INSTALLATION

PROCEDURE

1. INSTALL PIPING CLAMP (for Suction Hose Sub-assembly Side)

(a) Remove the vinyl tape from the No. 2 air conditioning tube and accessory assembly and suction hose sub-assembly.

(b) Install a new piping clamp to the suction hose sub-assembly.

NOTICE:

  • Securely engage the piping clamp to the groove of the suction hose sub-assembly.
  • Do not open the piping clamp more than the diameter of the suction hose sub-assembly when installing it.
  • Do not install the piping clamp with the large diameter section facing the wrong direction.

(c) Sufficiently apply compressor oil to 2 new O-rings and the fitting surfaces of the suction hose sub-assembly.

Compressor Oil:

ND-OIL 12 or equivalent

(d) Install the 2 O-rings to the suction hose sub-assembly.

NOTICE:

Keep the O-rings and O-ring fitting surfaces free from dirt and foreign matter.

(e) Align the alignment marks and connect the No. 2 air conditioning tube and accessory assembly and suction hose sub-assembly.

NOTICE:

Connect the parts by holding the tubes, not the piping clamp.

(f) Securely insert the piping clamp to the point where the large diameter section of the piping clamp is covered by the No. 2 air conditioning tube and accessory assembly.

NOTICE:

  • When inserting, make sure that a click sound is heard.
  • Check that the suction hose sub-assembly is securely connected by pulling it.

2. INSTALL PIPING CLAMP

(a) Remove the vinyl tape from the air conditioning tube and accessory assembly and No. 2 air conditioning tube and accessory assembly.

(b) Sufficiently apply compressor oil to 2 new O-rings and the fitting surfaces of the air conditioning tube and accessory assembly.

Compressor Oil:

ND-OIL 12 or equivalent

(c) Install the 2 O-rings to the air conditioning tube and accessory assembly.

(d) Connect the air conditioning tube and accessory assembly to the No. 2 air conditioning tube and accessory assembly.

(e) Install the piping clamp to the air conditioning tube and accessory assembly.

NOTICE:

Make sure that the piping clamp is installed securely with no gap.

4. CHARGE AIR CONDITIONING SYSTEM WITH REFRIGERANT

6. INSPECT FOR REFRIGERANT LEAK

PROCEDURE

1. RECOVER REFRIGERANT FROM REFRIGERATION SYSTEM

2. REMOVE PIPING CLAMP (for Suction Hose Sub-assembly Side)

(a) While pressing the end of the suction hose sub-assembly into the end of the No. 2 air conditioning tube and accessory assembly, use pliers to squeeze together both sides of the piping clamp until it breaks apart.

NOTICE:

  • If any foreign matter is attached to the connected parts, brush it off or use compressed air to remove it before disconnecting the parts.
  • Make sure that fragments of the piping clamp do not enter the piping.

(b) Separate the suction hose sub-assembly.

NOTICE:

Remove any foreign matter from the connecting parts of the suction hose sub-assembly and No. 2 air conditioning tube and accessory assembly.

(c) Remove the 2 O-rings from the suction hose sub-assembly.

NOTICE:

Seal the openings of the disconnected parts with vinyl tape to prevent entry of moisture and foreign matter.

(d) Remove the piping clamp.

3. REMOVE PIPING CLAMP

(a) Install SST to the piping clamp as shown in the illustration.

(b) Hold the No. 2 air conditioning tube and accessory assembly and air conditioning tube and accessory assembly with each hand and push in SST with both thumbs.

NOTICE:

Do not apply excessive force to the No. 2 air conditioning tube and accessory assembly or air conditioning tube and accessory assembly as they may bend.

(c) Raise the stopper of SST and remove SST and the piping clamp together from the No. 2 air conditioning tube and accessory assembly.

(d) Remove the piping clamp from SST.

(e) Disconnect the air conditioning tube and accessory assembly from the No. 2 air conditioning tube and accessory assembly.

(f) Remove the 2 O-rings from the air conditioning tube and accessory assembly.

NOTICE:

Seal the openings of the disconnected parts using vinyl tape to prevent entry of moisture and foreign matter.

4. REMOVE PIPING CLAMP (for Air Conditioning Tube and Accessory Assembly Side)
